Vivid Sydney Lights Up
posted by Murray on 28 May 2010
The days are getting shorter and shorter as we head into winter but the Vivid Festival is here to keep Sydney lit up and illuminated in more ways than one. Vivid Festival is about Light, Music and Ideas and it's shinning brightly in Sydney from tonight through to 20 June.

The unmissable illumination of the sails of the Sydney Opera House will take place nightly and Macquarie Visions will transform Macquarie Street into a theatrically lit nocturnal adventure land.

It's not all stunning illuminations. Brian Eno and Laurie Anderson have collaborated to curate a hugely diverse musical experience throughout Sydney during Vivid. Highlights include international acts such as Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter Holly Miranda as well as bringing local acts into the Vivid spotlight. If you're looking for a place to soak up the creative vibe during the festival get a seat at the Vivid Live Festival at the base of the Sydney Opera House.

Whether you're a creative looking for inspiration or a sight-seer looking for a great photo opportunity, keep your eyes on the bright Vivid lights.
