When I was just a little kid, The Goodies used to ride around London on a three-seater bicycle getting chased by an enormous pantomime dog. It was the funniest thing ever! Geeeez, I’m laughing out loud just thinking about it.
Ok, my sense of humour might have changed somewhat since I was ten but I reckon The Goodies could still rustle a laugh or two with that typical British humour. If they’ve still got that bike, well, there’s a barrel of laughs right there.
The Goodies are here as part of the World’s Funniest Island comedy festival taking place on Cockatoo Island 17-18 October. The comedy goes all day and into the night with over 200 performances from comedians from around the world. Think of it as the Big Day Out for comedy lovers. It’s going to be a cracker!
