Wonderful Winter
posted by Murray on 13 Jan 2010
Winter can be a dirty word in many countries. Images of low dark skies, unsmiling citizens wrapped in enormous overcoats walking down wet sidewalks covered in slushy snow refusing to melt come to mind. Lucky we’re in Sydney!

At the risk of sounding like a show off, the weather we’ve been experiencing of late is just about right on par for Sydney this time of year. Winters are typically sunny and warm during the day, especially if you can find a spot in the sun, while the nights are cool and clear.
The Bureau of Meteorology reports that the Sydney daily average maximum in July is 16.3 °Celsius (61°F) . Not bad for the middle of winter huh?
Just to give you a heads up, the Bureau has forecast 28° for Sunday.
Better get your sunscreen out and hear beachside!
