Investigate FBi Radio

So, you've landed in Australia and you want to get down to the latest Aussie bands and acts right? Switch on any commercial radio station in Australia and chances are you'll be bombarded by American top 40 hits or the same easy listening snooze fest you're dad put you through on your last road trip to Florida.

If you want to get truly orientated with the sounds of Sydney, switch on to FBi Radio. FBi is an independent community radio station with a mission to promote local music, and they do it bloody well! Fifty percent of their play-list is Australian Music and half of that is from Sydney; you don't have to be a maths major to work out that's a whole lot of local tunes for your listening pleasure.

With their strict self-imposed local content quota, the music can sometimes be a little hit-and-miss. But. with that said, shockers are rare and well and truly superior to subjecting yourself to any chance of Bon Jovi sneaking into the music box. You can find FBi on the dial at 94.5FM or stream online at www.fbiradio.com

The FBi Crew are going to be hitting the campus O Week scene next week so keep your eyes and ears peeled and go check out their wares.
