18-21 February
If you're keen for music, camping and general lunacy before the semester kicks off, leave Sydney in your wake and head up the Hawkesbury River and beach yourself at Wiseman's Ferry. The Playground Weekender Music Festival is in it's forth year and gaining a reputation for being one of the best little festivals in the world.
With four days of camping and fun by the river mixed in with headline acts such as Lupe Fiasco and The Lost Valentino's it's no wonder crowds are heading up the river by the boat load. Saturday the craziness steps up a notch or two as the whole crowd gets into fancy dress and goes mental creating a shared euphoric sensation across the grounds that has won the "Best Crowd and Atmosphere" award at the Festival Awards the last two years running.
If you want to camp, there's a bunch of options including camp sites and the Tent Hotels. If you're looking for something a little more solid, why not grab a Wicked Camper and secure yourself one of the 30 new campervan sites just released. Transport and Accommodation all sorted in one fell swoop!
The website is a ball of laughs in itself so get online, grab some tickets and head up the river and go looney!
