If the North Coast of New South Wales had a sound it would be earthy and soulful with a solid underbelly of blues and roots. Enter Kim Churchill. At just 18 years old, the Guitarist and Songwriter is on the road, guitar under one arm, surfboard under the other. Kim's one man sound is purcussive and intricate guitar and slide intermingled with blues harmonica and deep beatbox.
From supporting international acts of the likes of Ben Harper, Xavier Rudd and John Butler, Kim is gaining a reputation for captivating audiences with his own relaxed style. Leaving his coastal roots in Northern NSW, Kim's on tour meandering around Australia playing festivals and gigs.
The Vanguard, one of Newtown's favourite venues, will host Kim on Saturday 20 March giving you the opportunity to catch one of Australia's brightest young talents in a classic and intimate Sydney setting.
Tickets are just $12+bf so get online, score a ticket and catch Australia's next big thing.
